3voor12 is a multimedia pop music platform of the Dutch public broadcaster VPRO and was launched on 15 May 1998. For 38 years, 3voor12 listeners, followers and viewers have voted for their song of the year. Since 2004, a festival has been associated with this.


Every year the announcement of the song of the year has looked different. The idea was to create a logo that would be recognisable for the festival every year with just a few adjustments. In this case, only the year had to be changed. Until 2022, the festival would take place at TivoliVredenburg. The round windows of the building's exterior formed part of the visuals.
